Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Welcome to Cotton + Grace! Below you'll find answers to some of the most common questions about ordering, turnaround times, customization, embroidery, digital designs, pickup, and more. If you don't see your question here, please reach out—I'm always happy to help! 🤍

What is your turnaround time?

Our standard turnaround time is up to 14 business days (Monday–Friday) unless otherwise stated in the product listing.

Most Cotton + Grace items are made to order. Blank apparel is typically ordered in bulk on Sundays, and production begins once those items arrive. Supplier shipping times can vary depending on the brand, color, size, availability, and time of year.

Please remember that turnaround time refers to the time needed to complete your order and does not include weekends, holidays, or shipping/transit time.  C+G works off of invoice numbers and goes in the order that orders have been received.

Do you offer local pickup?

Yes! Local pickup is currently available in McConnells, SC.

Once your order is ready, you'll receive a Ready for Pickup email with the pickup address and instructions. Please wait until you receive this email before coming to pick up your order.

Your order will be placed in the designated pickup box on the front porch. Please help me keep the box neat and organized while looking for your items.

And don't forget to smile—you'll be on camera! 😊

Do you ship?

Yes! Shipping is available at checkout.

Once your order ships, tracking information will be sent to the email address provided with your order.

Please double-check your shipping address before completing checkout. Cotton + Grace is not responsible for delays caused by the shipping carrier.

Can I place a custom order?

Absolutely! Custom orders are a big part of Cotton + Grace.

I can create custom apparel for schools, teams, businesses, churches, organizations, events, gifts, and more.

Custom order turnaround times vary depending on the project and may range from 1–6 weeks. An estimated turnaround time will be discussed when your order is placed.

Can you create a custom design for me?

Yes! Creating designs is one of my favorite parts of what I do.

If you have an idea but aren't quite sure how to bring it to life, send me the details and we can discuss your vision. Custom design fees may apply depending on the amount of design work required.

Do you offer embroidery?

Yes! Cotton + Grace offers custom embroidery on a variety of apparel and accessories.

Embroidery pricing varies depending on the item, design size, stitch count, and customization required.

Can I bring my own item to be embroidered?

No. At this time, Cotton + Grace does not accept customer-supplied items for embroidery.

All items to be embroidered must be purchased through Cotton + Grace. This allows me to work with products I know and trust and helps me maintain the quality of the finished product.

Do you offer embroidery digitizing?

Coming soon! 🎉

Embroidery digitizing will be added to Cotton + Grace services soon. This service will allow artwork and logos to be converted into embroidery-ready files.

What brands of shirts do you use?

The brand may vary depending on the design, style, color, size, and availability. Cotton + Grace uses trusted apparel brands, including Comfort Colors, Gildan, and others.

When a specific brand is being used, you'll typically find that information in the product listing.

How do I choose my shirt color?

Available garment colors will be shown in the product listing or accompanying color chart.

Please keep in mind that colors can appear slightly different depending on your phone or computer screen, lighting, and the garment itself.

What size should I order?

Please refer to the size chart provided with the product listing whenever one is available.

Different brands and styles can fit differently, so I recommend checking the measurements before ordering rather than relying solely on your usual size.

Customers are responsible for choosing the correct size when placing an order.

Can I change my order after I've placed it?

Because most Cotton + Grace products are made to order, changes cannot be guaranteed.

What is your return & refund policy?

Because Cotton + Grace products are made to order and/or customized, all sales are final.

Returns, refunds, and exchanges are not accepted for incorrect size or color selections, change of mind, or other customer ordering errors.

If your item has a defect or an error made by Cotton + Grace, please contact me within 3 days of delivery or pickup. Photos of the defect or error must be provided. Once confirmed, Cotton + Grace will arrange for the item to be remade at no additional cost.

Items that have been worn, washed, altered, or damaged after pickup or delivery are not eligible for a remake.

If your order exceeds the stated turnaround time by more than 10 business days, you may request a refund as long as your order has not already been completed.

Please remember that turnaround time is measured in business days (Monday–Friday) and does not include weekends, holidays, or shipping/transit time.

What happens if I order the wrong size?

Because items are made specifically for your order, Cotton + Grace cannot offer a refund, remake, or exchange if the incorrect size was selected when ordering.

Please review the size chart carefully before placing your order.

Will my finished shirt look exactly like the mockup?

Mockups are provided to give you an idea of how your finished product will look.

Design size, placement, and colors may vary slightly depending on the garment size, garment color, and production process. Because each Cotton + Grace item is individually made, small variations are normal.

How should I care for my apparel?

To help your Cotton + Grace apparel last as long as possible, wash garments inside out in cold water with like colors.

Avoid bleach and fabric softener. Tumble dry on low or hang to dry.

Please do not iron directly over printed or embroidered designs.

What is a pre-order?

A pre-order allows you to purchase an item before the blanks or products have been ordered or received.

Pre-order items may have a different turnaround time than standard orders. The expected turnaround time will be included in the individual product listing.

How do digital design purchases work?

Cotton + Grace Digital Designs are digital products only unless otherwise stated. No physical product will be shipped when purchasing a digital design.

Instant-download designs will be delivered digitally according to the instructions provided in the listing.

Personalized or custom digital designs may require additional design time. Please carefully review the listing and provide all requested personalization information when ordering.

Can I use Cotton + Grace digital designs on products I sell?

Yes! Unless otherwise stated in the individual listing, the purchase of a Cotton + Grace digital design includes a limited small-business commercial license.

You may use your purchased design to create finished physical products for yourself or for sale, including shirts, sweatshirts, bags, tumblers, and other finished merchandise.

You may also send the design to a third-party printing company to have DTF, sublimation, or similar transfers produced for use in your own business.

Purchasing a digital design does not transfer ownership or copyright of the artwork to the purchaser.

You may NOT:

  • Sell, share, trade, gift, or redistribute the original digital file.
  • Resell the artwork as a PNG, SVG, or other digital file.
  • Upload the file to Facebook groups, shared drives, file-sharing websites, or similar platforms.
  • Alter the artwork and then sell or distribute the altered artwork as a digital file.
  • Claim the artwork as your own.
  • Digitize the artwork and sell or distribute the resulting embroidery file.
  • Use elements from the artwork to create new digital designs for resale.
  • Use the design to produce DTF, sublimation, or other transfers for resale to other businesses or customers without additional licensing.

All copyrights and ownership of Cotton + Grace Digital Designs remain with Cotton + Grace.

Can I sell DTF or sublimation transfers made with your designs?

The standard commercial license included with your digital purchase allows you to have transfers produced for use on your own finished products.

It does not give permission to sell transfers featuring Cotton + Grace artwork to other businesses or individuals.

A separate transfer-production license may be offered for customers who wish to use Cotton + Grace designs for transfer sales.

Do you offer bulk orders?

Yes! Cotton + Grace welcomes bulk orders for schools, teams, businesses, churches, organizations, events, and more.  Bulk orders must be placed at the same time to receive a discount.

What qualifies as a bulk order?  Revised Sept 29, 26

Bulk pricing begins at 12 items using the same design. Sizes may be mixed within the order. Pricing is based on the total quantity, garment style, design, decoration method, and number of print/embroidery locations. Additional discounts may be available at higher quantities. Orders of 100+ pieces require a custom quote.

Pricing and turnaround times depend on the quantity, garment selection, decoration method, and design requirements. Please contact me for a custom quote.
